I am a psychiatrist, which means I am a medical doctor who graduated medical school and then completed four years of specialized training focused on the evaluation and treatment of mental health concerns. I have also undertaken years of additional advanced training in a kind of psychotherapy called psychodynamic or psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
